Round 2 Interesting Stats

Penrith last lost a game at BlueBet Stadium on a Thursday to a fellow Sydney club in 2016 – six games ago. They have also won 20 of their last 21 at Penrith versus Sydney clubs on any day. South Sydney lost all four Thursday games last season.

Broncos have won their last four games versus North Queensland on a Friday. Broncos have also won 15 of their last 16 games at Suncorp Stadium on a Friday versus fellow Qld sides.

The Warriors last won an away game in Sydney on a Saturday in August 2018. It’s been nine straight losses since.

Bulldogs last beat Melbourne in 2016, and it has been seven straight losses since. But Melbourne have lost five of their last six home games on a Saturday with all of those losses against Sydney or Canberra clubs.

Newcastle beat the Wests Tigers at home last season, and it was their only home win versus a Sydney club in eight matches.
