Salford have announced today the signing of centre Krisnan Inu with immediate effect.

After months of trying to find a new club, Inu now has a new home after leaving Widnes following their relegation to the Champsionship at the end of 2018.

The 32 year-old back is now at his sixth professional club after stints at Parramatta, New Zealand and Canterbury in a seven year career in the NRL as well as Catalans and Widnes in Super League more recently.

He debuted in 2007 and during his time in the NRL, he scored 65 tries in 139 games. This earned him six New Zealand caps before switching his allegiance to Samoa.

After joining Catalans in 2015, he had a good spell in Perpignan, with 46 appearances and scoring 14 tries.

His move to Widnes for the start of the 2018 season was cut short when he broke his leg in April against Warrington.

The club decided to terminate his contract when they were elimnated in the Million Pound Game.

He is set to make his debut against Wakefield on Sunday.
