Bradford’s treble winners (2003)
Bradford Bulls were the first team to win the treble comprising of the Challenge Cup, League Leaders’ Shield and Grand Final in 2003, a feat that has since been achieved by both St Helens and Leeds Rhinos.
However, the Bulls will always be able to say they were the first picking up the Challenge Cup with a 22-20 win against Leeds and also pipped the Rhinos to the League Leaders’ Shield, finishing three points ahead of their Yorkshire rivals, with 2003 the first time the shield was awarded to the league winners.
They completed the first treble of the Super League era with a highly-impressive 25-12 win against Wigan before then winning the World Club Challenge against NRL side Penrith Panthers the following year, becoming the first side to hold all four trophies at the same time.
