- Mose Masoe (Hull Kingston Rovers)- ยฃ120k
Masoe will be no stranger to fans of Super League, having made a huge impression during his 52 appearances for St Helens less than four years ago.
He was renowned back then for his lung-busting, metre-gaining charges forward, and it looks like nothing has changed for the big Prop.
If the aim for KR is to preserve their spot in Super League during 2018, this Samoan international will have a lot to say about it.
He is one of the cheaper forwards in this seasonโs fantasy rugby- a common trend with a lot of newly-promoted Hullโs players- but if he can rediscover his form from his days in the โRed Vโ of the Saints, he could well be a huge part of the Robins triumphs during the upcoming season.
- Ashton Golding (Leeds Rhinos)- ยฃ110k
For a young man like Golding to have played so many games at such a tender age will only benefit both himself and the Rhinos in 2018.
The Jamaican international will wear the number one jersey again this year, and a lot of pressure will be on this future star of the game to show exactly what he can do.
Whether it be catching high bombs under pressure or knowing exactly the right time to launch a counter-attack, the 21-year old has shown all the skills needed to be a top-class player for years to come.
Considering he is set to be the starting full-back for the reigning champions, ยฃ110,000 is extremely cheap.
So, if you are wanting to save money and reinvest in other areas of the squad- without compromising on backline quality- Golding might be the perfect choice.
- Ben Barba (St Helens)- ยฃ155k
Barba has had a lot of off-field problems in recent years, but there is no doubting that he is a world-class full-back.
Whether it is his pace, reading of the game, or the ability to turn attack into defence in the blink of an eye, the Saints number 23 has it all.
Nevertheless, he will need to be at the top of his game to keep Jonny Lomax- an England international- out of Justin Holbrookโs 17.
A fully firing Ben Barba is almost unstoppable, and, despite being the most expensive player on this list, he is almost certainly set to accumulate a huge points-haul for any fantasy team during the upcoming campaign.
- Manu Vatuvei (Salford Red Devils)- 120k
For Ian Watson, having a player like New-Zealand international Manu Vatuvei is going to be a huge coup for the 2018 season.
He has already shown glimpses of what he can do in the latter stages of last season, as well as churning out some impressive performance this pre-season for the Red Devils.
He is a hard-to-stop winger with a big tackle and impressive finishing prowess; his size will also be a huge benefit to Salfordโs forward pack heading into the next edition of Super League.
For ยฃ120,000, Vatuvei could be a risky choice- depending whether Watson selects him over the likes of Greg Johnson and Niall Evalds- but one that could well come up trumps if big Manu can start firing on all cylinders this year at the AJ Bell.
