Last Five Results: Hull FC 4-38 Warrington (12/03/20), Warrington 22-14 Hull FC (27/07/19), Warrington 12-19 Hull FC (18/05/19), Hull 12-63 Warrington (29/03/19), Warrington 80-10 Hull FC (30/08/18)

Preview

Warrington are on a five-game winning streak in Super League, which includes the fixture that saw Lee Radford dismissed as Hull’s head coach, with the Airlie Birds rejuvenated under interim boss Andy Last.

Covid-19 continues to impact the competition, with six Warrington players forced to self-isolate, meaning they will have a much-depleted squad for Friday’s fixture. Anthony Gelling returns, whilst Leilani Latu and Ellis Robson could make their debuts for the club.

The Airlie Birds have Jake Connor, Ligi Sao and Josh Bowden back in their 21-man squad, but Marc Sneyd and Ratu Naulago miss out with ankle and head injuries respectively.

Prediction

Wire deserve plenty of credit for fulfilling this fixture despite missing a host of first-team players, which should ultimately give Hull FC the edge in this one. It remains to be seen how much of a contest this will be, but Warrington have a strong squad and should put up a valiant fight despite the circumstances.
