Preview
Huddersfield claimed an overdue win under acting head coach Luke Robinson last time out, whilst Castleford are hoping to claim just their second win since the restart at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday night in a must-win game for both sides.
Cas have Gareth O’Brien and Jesse Sene-Lefao returning to the side after their Challenge Cup defeat to Hull FC with Matt Cook included for the first time this season. Sosaia Feki and Peter Mata’utia miss out as they are assessed for injuries whilst Adam Milner is suspended
The Giants have only been able to name a 20-man squad due to injuries, but do have Lee Gaskell available again after a six-week layoff with Owen Trout, Dominic Young and Robson Stevens all included.
Prediction
The Giants managed to snap a six-game losing run in all competitions with victory at Wakefield last time out and will need to be at their best to claim back-to-back league wins. Castleford haven’t been at their best since the restart and need the two points if they are going to force their way into the play-off picture. This should be a close one, but Cas might just have the edge.
