Preview

Both Warrington and Wigan will be reeling having lost their respective Challenge Cup semi-finals at the weekend. The two teams played out a thrilling game to open the 2020 season and we can expect more of the same on Friday night.

Steve Price is missing big-hitting second-rower Ben Murdoch-Masila. Sitaleki Akauola, Keenan Brand, Luis Johnson are all included.

Adrian Lam has named another youthful looking squad but is set to hand a Warriors debut to Brad Singleton, while Morgan Smithies returns from his six-match suspension. Three Wigan players are self-isolating forcing them to miss Friday’s crunch clash.

Prediction

This is a huge game at the top of the Super League table. Warrington had won nine matches on the spin prior to suffering back-to-back defeats to Salford and will want to bounce back against Wigan who were in similarly good form, before being hammered by rivals St Helens and losing to Leeds in the cup. An exciting game awaits, but Wire should have enough to exact revenge on the Warriors.
