Preview
Friday’s action kicks off with Wigan’s clash against Salford at the Totally Wicked Stadium. The Warriors well in the hunt for a top-four finish and Red Devils coming into the tie off the back of their Challenge Cup Final loss to Leeds Rhinos.
Adrian Lam recalls Oliver Gildart, Joe Burgess and George Burgess to his 21-man squad, that was named prior to their game with Catalans’ being postponed. Captain Sean O’Loughlin misses out along with youngsters Amir Bourouh and Sam Halsall.
Ian Watson makes three changes from the side beaten in the Challenge Cup Final with Ed Chamberlain, Andy Ackers and Oliver Ashall-Bott coming into the side. Kris Welham, Kevin Brown and Ryan Lannon are the players who drop out.
Prediction
This one might depend on how Salford react to their Challenge Cup final defeat. The Red Devils were beaten in heartbreaking fashion, losing to a late Luke Gale drop-goal, and might have a bit of a hangover from that disappointment. Wigan will be fresh, having had a fortnight’s rest, and know a win will move them two points clear of Warrington and should take the two points on Friday night.
