Last Five Results: Hull KR 16-14 Warrington (15/06/19), Hull KR 22-28 Warrington (31/05/19), Hull KR 6-54 Warrington (22/04/19), Warrington 28-14 Hull KR (09/02/19), Hull KR 20-34 Warrington (20/06/18)

Preview

Both teams are playing their first game since Super League’s restart, making this an intriguing encounter at Headingley.

Wire have named Jack Hughes and Matty Ashton in their 21-man squad, with both players returning from long-term injuries, while young forward Samy Kibula could make his debut for the club.

Rovers could hand a debut to Nathaniel Peteru who arrived in early March, with Super League’s leading try scorer Ben Crooks also included. However, Greg Minikin, Harvey Livett and Anesu Mudoti are all missing through injury.

Prediction

Warrington should be favourites for this one with their squad well-suited to the six again rule and Rovers on a five-game losing streak in Super League. Tony Smith would love to pull off an upset against his former employers and has a fighting chance due to Wire’s indifferent form, but the Wolves should have enough to claim the points.
