Super League will restart their 25th season on Sunday, August 2 with a triple-header at a venue to be decided.

It will feature matches between Hull Kingston Rovers and Toronto Wolfpack (1pm), St Helens taking on Catalans Dragons (4:15pm), with Huddersfield Giants facing Leeds Rhinos at 6:30pm.

All games will be televised through Sky Sports.

Just like in the National Rugby League reboot, the games will be played behind closed doors, and will remain that way until UK Government Regulations are lifted.

A further fifteen rounds are scheduled from August 8, with a revised finals series taking place before the Super League Grand Final in late November.

โ€œWe are in the final stages of confirming where the games will be played, and we continue to work closely with Sky Sports to deliver the best possible broadcast schedule for our fans. Further details of this will be confirmed over the coming weeks.โ€, said Super League Chairman Robert Elstone.

The RFL Board are considering rule changes ahead of the resumption.

This could include the elimination of scrums for public health reasons and the adoption of the ‘six again’ rule which has been implemented since the National Rugby League restarted.

With the season extended, clubs are considering to defer the start of the 2021 Super League season.

There’s no word on whether the Rugby League Championship season will continue. The RFL Board meet on July 6 to consider their options.
