  • September 6: Ben Hunt wins St George-Illawarra Dragons Player of the Year in 2021.
  • September 6: Intrust Super Cup Grand Final to be played at Moreton Daily Stadium on October 10.
  • September 7: NRL Team News for Week 1 Finals announced.
  • September 7: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs sign Josh Cook (2023).
  • September 7: Brisbane Broncos sign Jordan Pereira (2023).
  • September 7: Josh McGuire and Kane Evans will miss the first five games in 2022 after taking early guilty pleas to round 25 NRL Match Review Committee charges.
  • September 8: NRL confirm the 2021 Grand Final to be held at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. Week 2 of the finals are scheduled for BB Print Stadium, Mackay and Grand Final Qualifiers at Suncorp Stadium.
  • September 8: Josh Jackson wins Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Dr George Peponis Medal for their best player in 2021.
  • September 8: Brisbane Broncos re-sign Cory Paix (2023).
  • September 8: Brisbane Broncos release Ethan Bullemor.
  • September 9: New Zealand Warriors announce they are planning to play half of their 2022 home fixtures at Redcliffe’s Moreton Daily Stadium.
  • September 9: Tohu Harris wins New Zealand Warriors Simon Mannering Medal for their best player in 2021.
  • September 9: Payne Haas wins Brisbane Broncos Paul Morgan Medal for their best player in 2021.
  • September 9: Coen Hess wins North Queensland Cowboys Paul Bowman Medal for their best player in 2021.
  • September 9: Tino Fa’asuamaleaui wins Gold Coast Titans Paul Broughton Medal for their best player in 2021.
