Match Preview

Salford take on Leeds at the AJ Bell Stadium on Sunday afternoon in a repeat of last year’s Challenge Cup final. The Red Devils snapped their six-game losing streak with a narrow win at Huddersfield last time out, while the Rhinos are returning to action for the first time in almost a month after a recent Covid outbreak at the Yorkshire club.

Salford make five changes to the squad that beat the Giants with Tui Lolohea, Pauli Pauli, Danny Addy, Matty Costello, Darcy Lussick all coming into the side. Sebastine Ikahihifo, Greg Burke, James Greenwood, Dan Sarginson and Ben Davies drop out.

Richard Agar includes all five Leeds players involved in England’s clash with the Combined Nations All Stars in his 21-man squad whilst prop Tom Holroyd is set to make his first appearance of the season having recovered from a fractured leg. Liam Sutcliffe and Zane Tetevano both miss out as they complete compulsory return to play protocols.
