The Roosters recorded a commanding win on Saturday afternoon in a second half where their star players ran riot.

After the opening period of play the Roosters found themselves in control of the match off the back of some strong defence to hold the Dragons out from scoring.

Victor Radley scored the first try of the match after the Roosters halves found gaps down the middle of the field.

The Dragons were kept in the match by their strong completion rate and through the Roosters mistakes and Ben Hunt made them pay.

First he scored a solo try then set up the second for Zac Lomax after he kicked a 40/20. It gave the visitors a surprise two point lead at halftime.

But the things the Dragons were doing right in the first half were out the window in the second.

The Roosters ran riot through the middle of the park off the back of a strong performance from Joseph Manu and James Tedesco – both ending the match with doubles.

For the Dragons, Aaron Woods was sinbinned and a few costly errors hurt any chance they had of settling into the second half.

The Roosters ran in a dominant final 20 minutes to turn a 14-12 halftime deficit into a 52-26 victory.
