MATCHDAY PREVIEW

These two rivals square off in what is turning into a must-win game for both clubs.

While the Bulldogs won their last game before the bye, it was far from convincing. There is still a mountain of work to be done and this should prove whether they have it in them to become a consistent football team in the second half of the season.

The Roosters have been extremely lacklustre, particularly with key players not performing to their capabilities.

James Tedesco had a shocker in Origin 1 and will be looking to bounce back, as will star centres Joey Manu and Joseph Suaalii, although the former will wear the number 6 jersey this week.

The Bulldogs must start strong, with the leaking of points early proving their undoing this season. Their forwards have often been dominated and no doubt Tevita Pangai Junior will be looking to respond after some key errors on Wednesday night.

This is a Roosters home match (in Gosford) – their first home game against the Bulldogs since 2019.
