MATCHDAY PREVIEW

The Bulldogs are no doubt a team improving but are also still struggling with consistency.

Against their loss to the Warriors last week they had several chances to ice the game but failed, while their opponents showed more resolve.
Defensively theyโ€™ve been strong and resilient which is a bonus, but putting in an 80 minute performance is what theyโ€™re really looking for.

North Queensland are a team many tipped to be in the top four battle, but theyโ€™ve failed so far to discover their 2022 form.
They are missing gun second rower Jeremiah Nanai to suspension and several others to injury, much like their opponents.
While the Cowboys have failed to fire theyโ€™ve shown glimpses of greatness, mainly from outstanding young half Tom Dearden.

The Bulldogs’ bench rotation has been questionable, with only one prop on the reserves in New Zealand last week (Jayden Tanner) and he didnโ€™t get any game time. This week they welcome back one big body in Franklin Pele but are still without a host of middle forwards, namely Tevita Pangai Junior and Luke Thompson.

If the Bulldogs’ defence can continue to be their strong point their attack should come as it did against the Storm and Tigers.

LAST TEN MATCHES

Bulldogs 4, Cowboys 6

MATCHDAY PREDICTION

Bulldogs by 16 points.
