MATCH PREVIEW

Magic Round. Suncorp Stadium. Is there a better weekend for footy? There’s definitely no better setting for the first battle of the beach and its promising to be epic. The Sharks are on a roll, sliding up the ladder with the tide unlikely to be turned by the Dolphins this weekend, despite their ability to turn nothing into something as they did in their mammoth second half comeback against the Titans in round eight.

Dale Finucane’s return from a three-week hip drop suspension restores the Sharks to their devastating full strength leaving the Dolphins unlikely to get the win for Wayne Bennett’s 900th game as premiership coach. The Dolphins will have a point to prove this weekend after their controversial round nine loss to the Raiders in golden point, but they’ll find it tough against the Sharks class, experience, and poise.

This game will no doubt be a standout display of skill, showmanship, grit and will be the one the kids will emulate at training next week. The Dolphins will draw on their never say die attitude but your mum’s favourite, Nicho Hynes’ freakish ability and composure will dominate this game and leave Queenslanders fearful at the Origin talk he’s ignited.
