MATCHDAY PREVIEW

The Panthers travel to McDonald Jones Stadium having got their charge for the minor premiership back on track with a comfortable home win against Manly (32-22) last week.

By contrast, the Knights are staring down the barrel of a third loss on the bounce if they canโ€™t improve on last week, where they were edged out by Melbourne (36-28) – who had a bye to prepare – at AAMI Park. The overall performance, however, was an improvement on their last home fixture where they lost 32-2 at the hands of a rampant Bulldogs side.

Penrith were shocked into action last time out, having lost to St George Illawarra in round 13; it is unlikely they will make the same mistake after their resounding win against Manly.

Fletcher Sharpe retains his spot at fullback for the hosts, while they also welcome back Bradman Best into the side. The visitors welcome back Dylan Edwards, and Brad Schneider steps in to control the right edge with Liam Martin.

Penrith will roll over the Newcastle pack and Brad Schneiderโ€™s control will allow Jarome Luai to pick apart a weary Newcastle side.
