Wakefield Trinity 13-12 Castleford Tigers
The Easter Bank Holiday weekend opened with a thriller at Belle Vue, with both teams looking to get back to winning ways after successive losses. Castleford, with the longer losing string of the two, got off the quicker start with a hat-trick of tries in the first half โ including a double from Jason Qareqare.
Rowan Milnesโ kicking issues meant the half time deficit, however, was only twelve points โ which Wakefield Trinity were able to reel in in the second part of the second half. Harvey Smith went over first and Max Jowitt contributed the following eight points with a pair of conversions and a try of his own, before Mason Lino iced the game with a drop goal in the 76th minute.

Hull FC 14-28 Hull KR
KR pretty much confirmed they are kings of the city with a second win in the space of two weeks over fierce rivals FC. The Robins dominated the first half, drawing first blood early in the first half through Oliver Gildart before Pita Hiku reinforced the lead off the back of some slick shape down the KR left edge.
The main talking point came in between the scores, however, with Cade Cust making direct forceful contact to the head of Artur Morgue that resulted in a red card that set alight the touchpaper for the game.
It was an uphill challenge for the black and whites from then on but they acquitted themselves well in the circumstances, scoring the first two tries of the second half before succumbing to Hull KR at the back end of the game.

Wigan Warriors 24-14 St Helens RLFC
Embed from Getty ImagesSomewhat stale to begin with, a bit of Bevan French and Jai Field magic combined for the latter to cross just shy of the 30-minute mark. From then on Wigan took control and added to their tally shortly after through Abas Miski collecting a loose ball off a kick to cross in the corner.
Just before half time, Moses Mbye copped a high tackle call that saw him sent for ten minutes in the bin, but Sam Walters delivered a similar shot after the half time break which saw the numbers level for a short period. In that time, however, Wigan extended their lead and through Jai Field and looked pretty comfortable until Lewis Murphy got over in the 64th minute with an incredible acrobatic finish.
Soon after, Agnatius Paasi got the visitors within one score but while chasing the game late on Sailor coughed up the ball and Wigan sealed the win with another Abas Miski try โ moving up to second in the league in the process.

Leeds Rhinos 28-6 Huddersfield Giants
A fairly poor game for the majority of the first half with Huddersfield managing to keep multiple Leeds try efforts at bay, until the 31st minute where Lachlan Miller found the first piece of finishing prowess for the game.
Buoyed by the try going into half time, Leeds added to it after the breakthrough Kallum Watkins โ who scored on his โsecond debutโ for the club. Handley added to the total with an excellent catch soon after in one way traffic before Jake Connor and Ryan Hall got four-pointers of their own, while the Giants managed to avoid being held to nil with a Tom Burgess (off a great overs line) just six minutes from time.
