Injuries
That task hasn’t been helped by a horrific injury list, particularly in the pack.
Captain Danny Houghton suffered a calf injury in Australia which will keep him out for another month still, while England international Scott Taylor missed several games after injury in the same match.
Fellow prop Mickey Paea remains out, leaving Radford terribly depleted of power in the front row.
Albert Kelly has also been out since concussion at Castleford, and in the last couple of weeks the skill and creativity on the ball that the Australian brings have been noticeably missing in Hull’s attack.
Liam Watts
Of course the biggest story around the club in the last few weeks has been the departure of Liam Watts.
He received his fourth red card in less than a year for a headbutt on Dom Crosby against Warrington, which proved to be the final straw for Radford.

His sale to Castleford has split fans- although his discipline has cost the side too many times he is undoubtedly one of the top forwards in Super League.
Time will tell whether his career can be resurrected at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle, but for Hull it is a big loss at a time when they can’t really afford it.
