This year’s NRL has been one for the books as we edge ever closer to the NRL Grand Final on October 1, but before we get there, it seems the league could be facing a huge issue if things continue to play the way that they are.

The New Zealand Warriors have been one of the teams to watch this year, as the team has continued to play some great rugby league over the course of the season. They continued to showcase their ability recently in their 40-10 win against the Newcastle Knights in the semi-final.

This has led to many heading to the website https://www.freebonuscode.co.nz/ as they are looking to find a sports betting site that can offer them a bonus code when joining. The recent performances have left them believing that the team is a valuable option to wager on as a potential NRL candidate.

However, if they are to manage to get past the Brisbane Broncos in the semifinal and keep their feel-good season going forward, there could be huge issues for the league itself, although they do not appear to be changing their stance on the situation just yet.

What is the situation that could face the NRL if the Warriors win?

You might be asking what the situation might be if the Warriors win that could be so bad for the NRL. Being the only team to be based in New Zealand and to have the large majority of its fanbase in the country, the issue that could be faced is the fact that the NRL Grand Final is played at a time that does not favor those across the Tasman Sea.

Daylight savings time will kick in on the day of the Grand Final, meaning Kiwis will be ahead of those in Sydney by three hours. The final is scheduled to start at 7:30pm (AEST), meaning those in New Zealand will be watching the game kick off at 10:30pm.

There have been criticisms about the times that are being used throughout the tournament, especially where the Warriors are concerned, as many believe it is not kid-friendly and can have an impact on the viewing figures across the sea. With many wanting the game to be watched as much as possible, many have proposed that the game’s kick-off time is moved forward.

However, the NRL appears to be steadfast in its decision to keep it as it is, for now. League boss Andrew Abdo has already stated that the preliminary game between the Warriors and the Broncos will not be changed, and many believe they will not change the Grand Final should they reach it.

Warriors have history in the Grand Final

The Warriors do have previous in the Grand Final, but the occasion is one that is so rarely experienced by the only team in New Zealand, which is perhaps why there has been a huge outcry for the time of the game to be changed should they advance.

The last Grand Final that the team played in was back in 2011, which had a more favorable kickoff time of 5pm (AEST), while they also appeared in the 2002 Grand Final, which kicked off at 7pm (AEST). Unfortunately, both occasions saw the Kiwis lose, something that many will be hoping is not the case should they be able to play in their third major spectacle.

Nonetheless, they still have a game against the Broncos to navigate first, and there will not be many looking beyond it already, as the proposition is challenging enough to try and navigate without its full attention.
