Tigers fans will get to see club legends Robbie Farah and Benji Marshall play for their beloved club again in 2019.

Both players intend to retire at the end of their one-year contracts.

Farah will be 35 years old once next season kicks off as he enters his 17th season in the National Rugby League.  He is set to break the 300 game mark if he can remain fit during 2019.

“I want to embrace everything and take it all in now knowing it’s going to be my last year, and hopefully leave a legacy once I’m gone. I want to leave the club in a better place once Benji and I are gone, and I’m really looking forward to playing that role.”, Farah told the Wests Tigers website.

Marshall will also be in his 17th season and as it stands is only twelve matches away from his 300 game milestone.

“I think it’s pretty special to start and finish my career at the same place, and to be able to do it with Robbie is something I never could have imagined happening.”, said Marshall.

Both Farah and Marshall have turned back the clock to the glory days with the Wests Tigers late this season, being influential in a young side which struggled mid-way through the season.

Wests Tigers play their final match this season on Thursday night against South Sydney at ANZ Stadium.
