Analysis
Parramatta does not play any 2019 top eight teams in the opening six rounds. This would offer the perfect opportunity for a strong start to the 2020 season.
Round 10 will be a huge challenge, as the Eels face the last team to defeat them in 2019, Melbourne. Rounds 11, 12 and 13 see Parramatta play three straight home games at Bankwest Stadium, which is sure to see the city buzzing and offer the Eels an opportunity to continue their fine home form.
The toughest run they face, Rounds 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22, sees them face the Raiders, Rabbitohs, Broncos, Roosters and Storm. This five-week period at the back end of the season is of the utmost importance if they want to make the finals, and more importantly, prove they deserve to be there.
The key to Parramatta making their first consecutive finals season since 06/07 is to take advantage of their opening fixtures and continue their winning form at Bankwest Stadium.
