Luke Keary signed a three-year contract extension with the Sydney Roosters. Keary’s contract was set to expire next season, after which he would have become a free agent. That contract extension makes him the first player to commit to the club until 2024.

In their quest to tie down their most important assets, the Roosters are hoping to convince Josh Moriss, Brett Morris, and Jake Friend to extend their stay at the club. Keary’s accolades include winning the NRL premiership three times (once with the Rabbitohs and twice with the Roosters) and getting the Clive Churchill Medal in the 2018 grand final.
The move was also acknowledged by club legend Brad Fittler who congratulated the club and the player for agreeing on terms. He also pointed that despite the injury challenges Keary has faced in his career at the Roosters, they have maintained a cordial relationship.
