MATCHDAY PREVIEW

The Sea Eagles made it three wins in a row, defeating the Knights, and they did it without Tommy Turbo. A couple of times it looked like the Knights might get back into the game but Daly Cherry-Evans proved to be in deft touch, especially with his kicking. Reuben Garrick proved to be a suitable replacement at fullback, having a good game.

The Titans went down by six points to the Eels last week. They came close to beating the Eels for a second time this season; however, they couldn’t get the job done, while the game will mostly be remembered for that ‘tackle’.

Both teams need this win. The Titans probably need the win a little bit more so they don’t slip down any further, while it is only early in the season it will still help them in the long run. While he has his moments (like his try last week), David Fifita needs to start stepping up for the Titans and justifying his price tag.

A win for Manly will keep their momentum going, especially after the way they started the season. Winning without Turbo has been a problem in past but they can do it, and if Cherry-Evans is on song like he was last week it might be a long night for the Titans.

The Titans have scored more points this season than the Sea Eagles (98 to 86), but they have also conceded more (108 to 78).
