London Broncos
Tipped for relegation by many at the start of the season, and despite sitting bottom of the table, their performances this year have shown the fight that has ‘gifted’ us this relegation battle.
A double over table-topping St. Helens, and impressive wins over Wigan and Catalans Dragons, Danny Ward’s side are the weakest side on paper but have shown they can perform.
Games against Leeds and Hull KR could go a long way to deciding relegation this season, but with four away games in their final six, it seems everything is against the Broncos.
Leeds Rhinos
A year to forget for the Rhinos, Dave Furner sacked after 15 games, Kallum Watkins leaving to the NRL, and Tui Lolohea failing to shine before being swapped for Robert Lui.
Leeds certainly have the calibre of players to survive, whether they can start performing is another question. It’s time for Konrad Hurrell and co to earn their money.
However, Leeds have arguably the toughest run-in facing Warrington Wolves and St. Helens, Catalans Dragons and an away trip to relegation rivals London.
Hull Kingston Rovers
A change of coach mid-season as Tony Smith took the reins from Tim Sheens, gave the Rovers a glimmer of hope alongside fresh faces such as Matt Parcell.
With Parcell, Craig Hall, and Josh Drinkwater, Smith has the players at his disposal to steer them to safety yet converting field position into points has proved an issue all season.
Rovers run in includes facing the likes of Castleford, Wigan, Catalans alongside relegation rivals London.
Who else is involved?
Wakefield and Huddersfield sit just above the bottom three on 18 points.
Wakefield’s recent form is the worst in the league with one win from six, Huddersfield better them by one with two wins from six.
With London and Hull KR both picking up three wins from their last six, there could be another twist in the tale.
