British Rugby League has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years. From being a small and generally unknown sport, to now, a fairly popular one. Sky Sports as an organisation are a big help of course, making the game stronger financially.
With the rising popularity in recent years, coupled with the influx of both foreign and home-made talent making their way to the English game, finding a spot in the end of season dream team is becoming more and more elusive.
Here’s a look at who could make the Super League dream team at this stage of the season.
Fullback – Ben Barba
Without a doubt, Barba has been the star of Super League 2018 so far. The Australian joined from French side Toulon after a sour end to his time with the 2016 NRL Premiers, Cronulla Sharks. He has changed St Helens from a borderline top four side to a potential Grand Final-winning one.

His try scoring ability is second to none and his assistance to the players around him is also brilliant. The 28-year old has been hailed as one of the best players to ever grace Super League. His ability to bring other players into the game is unparalleled by anyone else in the English game.
He has won back-to-back Super League’s player of the month awards and is Man of the Match in the majority of games for Justin Holbrook.
Not only would Barba be our full-back in the Dream Team, it is highly likely that he is in the reckoning as your number one man too.
Wingers – Regan Grace and Josh Charnley
These two wingers have been revelations. Grace, 21, has been a Saints regular since Holbrook stepped through the doors at the Totally wicked Stadium and has been repaying his coaches faith with 10 tries in 16 appearances this season.

The Welshman is one of the best young players in the country and could help his side to silverware in 2018, should he maintain his impressive early-season form.
Since Charnley’s return to Super League with the Warrington Wolves, the Wolves number 27 has scored 12 tries in seven matches.
He has been open about his return to league since signing for the Wolves and is seemingly loving life at the Halliwell Jones now he has switched codes.

His physicality is up there with the best, and he has no qualms about taking a carry and helping out his forward pack; that willingness to help his side will not go unnoticed by the Wolves hierarchy.
If he continues to produce the form shown since his arrival at the Wolves, Warrington could well be able to book a date at either Wembley or Old Trafford later in the season.
Centres – Oliver Gildart & Mark Percival
These two centres both make it into our dream team for totally different, yet equally valid reasons.
Gildart, a young talent, was a thoroughly-deserved recipient of the Super League Young Player of the Year last season. His scoring stats are fantastic and he can pass a ball like no other centre in the English game.
In comparison, Mark Percival is by far one of the most consistent players you’re likely to come across in Super League. Everything about his game is second to none and he will do absolutely anything to get over the try line!
Halfback pairing – Richie Myler & Danny Richardson
Since Myler signed for the Rhinos from the Dragons, he has been the heartbeat of the Leeds side. Brian McDermott has put his trust in him as Leeds’ number seven and it’s paying off in abundance.
Myler’s attitude to the game is shining through and he is arguably playing the best rugby of his career to date.
Danny Richardson is pretty much just starting out on his rugby league journey, but what a job he is doing! He has been thrown in at the deep end by coach Justin Holbrook and, if his recent performances are anything to go by, he is loving every minute of it.
