Prop Forwards – Mike Cooper & Luke Thompson
Mike Cooper has been a huge part of Warringtonโs resurgence this season and has recently given a contract extension for his efforts. He has crossed the whitewash three times and has been a rock for Steve Price thanks to his ability to dominate around the ruck.
In contract, Luke Thompson is another young St Helens starlet who makes the list. He has been such a powerful prop in the current Saints side and his go-forward- largely thanks to his leg strength- is arguably the best in the entire competition.
Hooker – Daryl Clark
There aren’t many other hookers in Super League who can run the ball as well as this man. Daryl Clark, Warringtonโs evergreen number nine, has been the crux of the current Wolves project, being asked to do close to 80 minutes in a lot of games.

It is a shame for Clark that St Helens’ Ben Barba is having such a wonderful season as, if he wasn’t taking Super League by storm, the 25-year old could be a contender for his second Man of Steel award.
Second Rowers – Sika Manu & Jack Hughes
Manu is a great asset to Lee Radfordโs Hull FC side. His ball handling skills are strong and his overall game this season has been really impressive.
The 31-year old has had to use every ounce of his experience given the injury crisis his FC side are currently facing. He may not be the flashiest of players, but it is often those who do the ugly work that reap the rewards of a place in the dream team.
Jack Hughes is a player who, at Wigan, never really grew out of his shell, whereas at Warrington he has been given the freedom to do so.
In previous seasons, Wire fans may not have been totally convinced by his showing, but in 2018 it is a different matter; Hughes is one of the first names on the team sheet.
His influence is the big moments of the games is a big reason why the Wolves are doing so well at the moment. Hughes’ ball handling skills are improving and he knows how to tackle a man too. Slowly but surely, he is developing into a top second-rower.
Loose Forward – Ben Murdoch-Masila
The fourth Warrington player that makes it into our dream team is powerhouse loose-forward Ben Murdoch-Masila. The former NRL and Salford star has become Warringtonโs interchange hero this year, and what a man to bring on!
So far this season, the tough Tongan has gone over for four Super League tries and a further two in the Challenge Cup. His tries aren’t just easy; he has busted 29 tackles to grab his four pointers, and he could well be the number one loose-forward in the competition.
