SUNDAY 2pm -BURLEIGH BEARS v SUNSHINE COAST FALCONS

Burleigh suffered a rare defeat last weekend in the TV game against the Northern Pride, and will need to get back into winner’s circle this weekend or they could lose the competition lead. It will be tough work too with the Sunshine Coast Falcons in a mini form revival with two straight wins. Once again Sandor Earl has been named for the Sunshine Coast, and should get plenty of support on his way back to rugby league.ย ย Tui Kamikamica could use the game as a great hit out for the upcoming Pacific test.

SUNDAY 2pm – EASTS TIGERS v CENTRAL CAPRAS

These two teams lost last weekend but in much different style. Central Capras were beaten in the last few minute by Tweed Heads and Easts Tiger went scoreless against the Blackhawks. That’s after winning a few games to get back into form. With Easts squad they should be higher than their current 11th positions, so need a win against an in form Central Capras to stay in touch with the top 6.. As ever in 2018, Central went close again, but did not quite get home. Hanging onto a lead at Langlands Park would be a great achievement.

SUNDAY 2pm – SOUTHS LOGAN MAGPIES v REDCLIFFE DOLPHINS

One final game between two sides right beside each other on the ladder, and these third and fourth sides missed out on an opportunity to close the gap to Burleigh by losing themselves. In fact, the Magpies have lost two in a row, and a third against Redcliffe will start to hurt their chances of a top two finish. You would think there’s a lot of players in these teams that could be fighting for positions in the Queensland Residents team for the big show at the Olympic Stadium next weekend, so that doubles up the importance of the fixture at Davies Park.

Teams

Souths Logan Magpies

1 Corey Allan 2. Benaiah Bowie 3. Marion Seve 4. Dan Russell 5. Paul Rokolati 6. Guy Hamilton 7. Sam Scarlett 8. George Fai 9. Travis Waddell 10. Rhys Melville 11. Brendon Gibb 12. David Fifita 13. Phil Dennis (c) 14. Jordan Scott 15. Simi Fatafehi 16. Daniel Tamou 17. Sam Elliott
