SATURDAY 5pm – NORTHS DEVILS v SOUTHS LOGAN MAGPIES @ Suncorp Stadium
Norths surprised the Magpies, and some of the competition early in the season when they defeated the Magpies, on their way to being early front-runners of the 2018 Intrust Cup season. Souths Logan too have been flying high during 2018, but both the Magpies and Devils recent form has slipped away and so has their ladder position. Norths have won just once in their last six games, and Souths Logan have lost their last three. With a number of teams below them finding form, a turnaround in results is needed soon to stay in the hunt for finals football.

SATURDAY 6pm – NORTHERN PRIDE v TOWNSVILLE BLACKHAWKS @ Atherton
The Pride take their big FNQ derby against the Blackhawks to the town of Atherton, which among other things is known as the town which saved the NRL career of Todd Carney once. The former NRL bad boy could possibly have made the return with the Pride for this match if he hadn’t walked out on the club to return to Sydney.
The Pride haven’t really missed him, as their recent winning form of wins in a row sees them sitting very nicely in fourth, and their halvesย Jordan Biondi-Odo and Jake Clifford have certainly done the job. Townsville are in top form too, winning their last three, and took the competition lead last round. A quality match up awaits. The earlier rivalry round clash saw the Pride’s first ever win over Townsville.

SATURDAY 6pm – CENTRAL CAPRAS v MACKAY CUTTERS
This is a battle of the bottom of the ladder with second last playing last in Rockhampton. Both sides have just three wins for the 2018 season so far, but neither side has been terrible, and both have caused the occasional upset or pushed the big teams all the way. With a little more luck, both of these sides could well be challenging for the top six, but as they are both four points adrift of their nearest team, this game will be all about getting off the bottom of the ladder.
