Rugby League set to return in Australia

After only two rounds played this season, the NRL season in Australia had to be put on hold due to COVID19 and all sportsbook bets on the matches were off.

The NRL is Australiaโ€™s primary Rugby League competition with 16 teams taking part to see who will be crowned champions. It combines teams from both Australia and New Zealand in what is always an ultra-competitive Championship.

At the very early stage of the season, Parramatta Eels had begun superbly well winning both their matches scoring 54 points, and only conceding 8. There are five other teams who have also started the campaign with a 100% record and these include Newcastle Knights, Canberra Raiders, Melbourne Storm, Brisbane Broncos and Penrith Panthers. There isnโ€™t much to read into this season so far, however, it does promise to be a really exciting campaign once the season continues at the end of May.

Telstra Premiership returns on May 28th

Sports bettors on NRL can now sit up and plan their bets on the week 3 set of matches which will resume on May 28th between undefeated Brisbane Broncos and Parramatta Eels. Sportsbettinga.ag will have all the odds on this and the rest of the NRL matches.

You couldnโ€™t wish for a better game to restart the season as these teams are very evenly matched. In their head to head of matches since 1998, both teams have won 21 times each and are sure to be at the top end of the table as the season progresses.

Sydney Roosters are the current Premiership champions having won back to back titles in 2018 and 2019 and will be looking for the hat-trick later this year. However, they had slumped to 2 defeats in a row before the break, so they will need to get back to winning ways when they play their third game of the season on May 29th as they host South Sydney Rabbitohs. This matchup has usually gone in the way of Sydney Roosters who holds an impressive record when these teams meet. Sports bettors will be looking at these stats as they look to place their bets on the match and Sportsbettinga.ag are one of the places to place your match day stakes.

The team that many feels can lift the trophy this year are Melbourne Storm who have been runners up 2 of the last 4 years and hoping this year can be their year to lift the trophy. They are also one of the teams who had got off to a flying start with two wins out of two and resume their campaign on May 30th with a mouth-watering clash against fellow unbeaten Canberra Raiders.

Both Melbourne Storm and Canberra Raiders have a superb defence and proved this with only conceding a few points in their opening two matches, however with 31 wins from 44 matches played, Melbourne has a superb record against Canberra. With home advantage, it may well pay to take the home team to come out on top in this matchup, but it sure may be a close game. With lots of betting markets available on this match, Sportsbettinga.ag can be the place to check out and pick your bet.

Excitement is building ahead of the re-start of the NRL at the end of May as Australian Sport has missed its rugby league and the players will be itching to get back playing as it was so early on in the season that the League had to be halted due to the virus.

Latest Odds on NRL

Three teams head to be the NRL grand final winner and two of them meet in the opening set of matches when the Championship returns in Melbourne Storm and Canberra Raiders. Last seasonโ€™s winners Sydney Roosters are also considered to be a team to watch given their proven record.
