Leeds Rhinos have announced prop Brad Singleton has signed a contract extension with the club.

The 25-year old was due to be out of contract next year, but his new deal will now see him remain with the Rhinos until at least the end of the 2020 campaign.

The Cumbrian-born Irish international has been at Leeds for nine years, after joining the academy in 2009 before making his debut for the first team in 2011, in a 46-12 home win against Salford.

He has since made 141 appearances, scoring 18 tries in all competitions, while he was also a part of the 2015 treble winning squad and started the 2017 Grand Final triumph over Castleford.

On his decision to commit to Leeds, he toldย therhinos.co.uk: โ€œIt was not a hard decision given the size of the club and how long I have been here.

“The club have always looked after me and my family, we are in a great position here as a family with my partner and I and our little one with another on the way this summer.

“It was an easy decision for us and it is great to get it out of the way early so it does not become an issue moving forwardโ€.

The news is a boost for the Champions, who take on in-form Warrington Wolves at Emerald Headingley Stadium tonight.
