South Sydney fullback Latrell Mitchell scored in the dying minutes of their loss to Brisbane on Thursday night at Suncorp Stadium. Here’s a look at the stats behind the milestone.

First Try: March 12, 2016

Latrell Mitchell scored his first career try in his second NRL appearance with the Sydney Roosters when they took on the Canberra Raiders at GIO Stadium. Sam William’s field goal four minutes from time saw the Raiders victorious 21-20.

First Career Hat-Trick: March 4, 2017

After scoring fourteen tries in his debut season, Mitchell got off to a flying start with his first career hat-trick coming in the Sydney Roosters 32-18 victory over Gold Coast Titans at CBUS Super Stadium. By the end of the season, Mitchell would score 15 tries and have 29 career tries in total.

50th Career Try: May 4, 2019

Latrell Mitchell scored his fourth career hat-trick to register 50 tries in the NRL in the Sydney Roosters 42-12 victory over Wests Tigers at the Sydney Cricket Ground in round 8 of the 2019 season.

Mitchell scored 26 points that night and crossed the 500 career points milestone. This remains his highest individual point scoring in a match, which he would achieve for a second time when the Rabbitohs thrashed the Bulldogs 50-16 on Good Friday last year.

2019 would be the final season Mitchell would fly in Roosters colours, scoring 65 tries in his time at the club.

1,000 Career Points: April 20, 2023

Mitchell crossed 1,000 career points when he scored twelve points (2 tries, 2 goals) against the Penrith Panthers at Accor Stadium in round 8, 2023. The Rabbitohs edged out the defending premiers 20-18.

100th Career Try: March 14, 2024

Latrell Mitchell’s last minute try against the Broncos in round 2 was a bitter sweet moment as he scored his 100th try in the Rabbitohs 28-18 loss at Suncorp Stadium. This was his 35th try for the club.
