SQUAD NEWS

CATALANS DRAGONS

Catalan will be hoping to build on Monday’s win at home against Huddersfield. Coach Steve McNamara has made just one change to that side. Ben Garcia returns with Alrix Da Costa making way for him.

Catalans 19-man squad: Aiton, Anderson, Baitieri, Bird, Bousquet, Broughton, Casty, Garcia, Gigot,Jullien, Langi, Margalet, McIlorum, Mead, Moa, Simon, Thornley, Wiliame, Yaha.

WIGAN WARRIORS

Wigan will be looking to close the six-point gap to leaders St Helens with a win at Catalans in this on, with coach Shaun Wane making three changes from his Easter Monday squad.

Taulima Tautai, Sam Powell and Sean O’Loughlin return with Josh Woods, Josh Ganson and Tom Davies missing out. Morgan Escare is out through illness.

Wigan 19-man squad: Bateman, Burgess, Clubb, Farrell, Flower, Gildart, Hamlin, Isa, Leuluai, Marshall, Navarrete, O’Loughlin, Powell, Sarginson, Sutton, Tautai, J. Tomkins, S. Tomkins, Williams.

HEAD TO HEAD

After both sides were one from two over the Easter period, they will be looking to build on Monday’s win.

Catalans have had a dreadful start to the season but after putting in a solid performance on Monday, they should come into this clash full of confidence.

Wigan can see that the Saints have extended their lead at the top of the table with a win over Hull last night so a win for them will close that gap. Travelling to the Dragons is often a tough task but Wigan will feel they have enough to grab the two points.

KEY BATTLE- Aiton/McIlorum (Catalans) v Leuluai/Powell (Wigan)

It’s a battle of the hookers this weekend with none of these four reaching their full playing potential yet this season.

McIlorum will face his old side for the first time this season and will be wanting to put in a good showing. With all 4 fighting for starting spots, expect their spells to be game-changers.
