SQUAD NEWS

LEEDS RHINOS

The Rhinos fought back to claim a 22-all draw on Good Friday against Huddersfield and could move up to second if results go their way and they can beat Salford.

They welcome back Stevie Ward, Jimmy Keinhorst and Liam Sutcliffe from injury. Anthony Mullally drops out with a head injury and Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Brad Dwyer are both rested.

Leeds 19-man squad:ย Golding, Briscoe, Watkins, Sutcliffe, Hall, Moon, Myler, Parcell, Singleton, Ablett, Ward, Delaney, Keinhorst, Ferres, Handley, Walker, Smith, Oledzki, Walters.

SALFORD RED DEVILS

Salford continued their impressive home form by beating Catalans 32-16 on Good Friday to make it three in a row at home.

They have made just one change to that side with George Griffin replacing Jake Bibby. New loanee Jake Shorrocks is also yet to feature.

Salford 19-man squad:ย Johnson, Welham, Sa’u, Evalds, Lui, Littlejohn, Kopczak, Tomkins, Jones, Hauraki, Flanagan, Tasi, Lannon, Burgess, Nakubuwai, Wood, Olpherts, Mossop, Griffin.

HEAD TO HEAD

In 2017, the sides met three times with Leeds winning on all three occasions. Salford will be hoping that a win moves them out of the bottom four in a bid to avoid the Qualifiers after making last season’s Super 8s.

KEY BATTLE- Matt Parcell vs Logan Tomkins

It could certainly prove to be a battle of the hookers this Monday.

Matt Parcell has been outstanding for Leeds since he arrived but missed the Good Friday draw.

In contrast, Logan Tomkins has finally found his feet at Salford- he fits their style of play perfectly and is consistently a key player for the Red Devils.

Seeing how he matches up against Parcell, arguably the best hooker in Super League, will be interesting to see, but it may also see Tomkins raise his game.
