Salford Red Devils travel to the Halliwell Jones Stadium to face the Warrington Wolves in a bid to improve their chances of a top four finish. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the game.
SQUAD NEWS
Warrington Wolves
Steve Price has made four changes with Stefan Ratchford and Chris Hill both being absent due to their England commitments last week. Ryan Atkins and Harvey Livett miss out through injury.
Replacing them in the squad are George and Toby King, Morgan Smith and Ben Pomeroy. Last time out, the Wolves beat Wakefield 32-30 in a close-fought affair, but will be hoping for a far more convincing margin of victory in front of their own supporters.
Warrington Wolves 19-man squad: Akauola, K Brown, M Brown, Charnley, Clark, Cooper, Crosby, Goodwin, Hughes, G King, T King, Lineham, Murdoch-Masila, Patton, Philbin, Pomeroy, Roberts, Smith, Westwood.
Salford Red Devils
Salford boss Ian Watson is boosted by the return of powerhouse forwards Mark Flanagan and Lee Mossop for Friday’s clash against the Wolves.

Salford will be hoping that their win over Widnes in their last game can be a turning point for their season as we edge closer to the Super 8’s split.
Salford Red Devil’s 19-man squad: Johnson, Welham, Sa’u, Lui, Littlejohn, Tomkins, Griffin, Flanagan, Tasi, Lannon, Nakubuwai, Wood, Olpherts, Mossop, Bibby, Murray, Shorrocks, Chamberlain, Burke.
HEAD TO HEAD
The Wolves were 22-6 winners in the reverse fixture earlier this year. Tries from Toby King, Josh Charnley, Tyrone Roberts and Kevin Brown sealed the win for the Wolves.
Warrington usually have the upper hand in this game but Ian Watson and his men will be hoping that will change for their team.
KEY BATTLE- Tom Lineham vs Greg Johnson
Greg Johnson will have his hands full when dealing with Tom Lineham on the wing. Johnson, when given the right reception, can score for fun but so can Lineham.

There aren’t many players as fast as Johnson in the league but there aren’t many wingers as powerful as Lineham, so it should make for an interesting battle.
