Preview
League Leaders Wigan take on Huddersfield at Headingley to conclude the regular Super League season. The Warriors will clinch the League Leaders Shield with a win, while the Giants are on standby for the play-offs after Salford’s points deduction.
Adrian Lam makes one change to the squad that beat St Helens with Dom Manfredi replacing Joe Greenwood as the Warriors play their first game with their new badge.
Luke Robinson makes four changes from the side narrowly beaten by Warrington with Lee Gaskell, Kenny Edwards, Oliver Wilson and Sam Wood all missing. Louis Senior, Reiss Butterworth, Owen Trout and Ronan Michael come into the squad.
Prediction
While Wigan may appear as heavy favourites, Huddersfield shouldn’t be counted out of this one. The Giants have lost each of their last four games by eight points or less and I’m expecting another close game on Thursday night which the Warriors should edge given the importance the match now holds.
