Super League broke new ground in 2019 as the competition headed to the Nou Camp in Barcelona when Catalans Dragons hosted Wigan back in May with the fixture played in front of a record 31,555 strong crowd. The crowd was the biggest attendance outside a Grand Final and the French side took their chance to impress with both hands, playing as the home side, claiming a thrilling 33-16 victory. Barcelona were impressed by the Dragons Challenge Cup win the previous season and will no doubt have enjoyed watching Steve McNamara’s charges put the Warriors to the sword in a thumping five-try success.
