Blake Green’s Grand Final Bravery (2013)

Suffering a fractured eye socket three minutes into a Super League Grand Final probably wasn’t the start Wigan half-back Blake Green was hoping for, when he was caught on the ground by a cheap shot from Ben Westwood. However, Green would have the last laugh, playing through the pain barrier to help the Warriors come from 14-points behind and claim a 30-16 success at the expense of the Wolves. Not only that, Green went over for a crucial try on 65 minutes, despite barely being able to see out of his right eye, as well as claiming the Harry Sunderland Trophy after turning in a Man of the Match performance.
