As many as four teams could have been relegated in the final round of Super League fixtures in one of the tightest relegation battles in the history of the competition. Wakefield Trinity’s 19-10 win at home to London ultimately condemned the capital club to relegation back to the Championship however, the prospect of either Huddersfield Giants or Hull KR also facing the drop meant every fixture mattered over the course of the 29-game season.

London Broncos

The capital club were predicted by many to be the whipping boys of the competition following their unlikely promotion the previous season. However, under the guidance of streetwise coach Danny Ward, the Broncos thrilled their fans and neutrals alike with a brand of exciting rugby that saw them claim a pair of wins against eventual champions St Helens. London were a credit to Super League in 2019 and proved all of their doubter’s wrong despite suffering relegation in the final game of the regular season.
