Anthony Mundine’s tweet about wanting to coach NSW in 2018 only revealed part of his plan.

‘Brah, I’ll captain-coach the Blues, sack all the clowns and take on Queensland by myself.’

While one player against 13 seems impossible, Mundine is confident.

‘The Man still has the elite speed and fitness of a 20-year-old. I’ll tear those Queenslanders apart, then be ready to go anotherย 80 minutes. The Blues’ll win 3-0 and the punters will finally see how good The Man is. No corrupt selectors can deny me this time.’

NSW coach Laurie Daley is ambivalent about Mundine’s boasts.

‘At this point I really don’t care. I’m sick of losing to Queensland so may as well take a cushy media job and watch Mundine do his thing.’

Queensland coach Kevin Walters welcomes Mundine’s challenge.

‘He can’t be any worse than the current NSW jokers. Give him a go, it could be fun.’
