With the men’s season being in its opening rounds, the NRL has revealed ย Australia;s top 40 female rugby league players. These players will be considered Marquee signings in this years inaugural WNRL.

26 of the 40 players have international experience, including Jillaroos co-captains Ruan Sims and Steph Hancock, and 2017 World Cup standout Ali Brigginshaw.

Players will have year round access to high-performance training camps, as well as full time coaching and medical staff.

Many women will also be given ambassador roles through local, state and national rugby league, bringing a significant boost and awareness to the game.

The WNRL teams and squads are expected to be announced in coming months
