336-game veteran John Sutton bowed out following South Sydney’s loss to Canberra Raiders in the preliminary final. Starting in the centres, Sutton became South Sydney’s playmaker during the bulk of his career before transitioning to the forward pack. He was the captain of South Sydney’s premiership winning team in 2014 that ended a thirty-three year wait. He leaves the club as their most capped player.
