Brisbane Broncos
24 Points – Points For: 384 – Points Against: 378 – Diff: +6
The run home: Cronulla Sharks (H), Canterbury Bulldogs (A), Nth Queensland Cowboys (A), South Sydney Rabbitohs (H), Sydney Roosters (A), Manly Sea Eagles (H)
The Broncos form has been indifferent this season, though a big win last week over the Panthers has shown the potential that the Broncos can deliver. With a poor points differential in addition to being two points out of the top 4, the Broncos are in a similar situation to the Panthers. You would think need to win all 6 remaining games to make the top 4. The Broncos will most likely finish outside the top 4, with a risk of dropping out of the 8 if they don’t repeat last weeks form.
Predicted Finish: 7th
New Zealand Warriors
24 Points – Points For: 340 – Points Against: 336 – Diff. +4
The run home: Gold Coast Titans (A), St George-Illawarra Dragons (A), Newcastle Knights (H), Canterbury Bulldogs (A), Penrith Panthers (H), Canberra Raiders (H)
After an unexpected winning start to the season seeing them sitting in the top 4 early on, the Warriors find themselves making up the 8 with the Warriors of old returning mid-season with some heavy defeats. With games against only two top 8 sides in the remaining 6 rounds, the Warriors would need to win all six remaining games to have any chance of making the top 4. This looks unlikely, after experiencing a heavy defeat against an under strength Panthers in round 17 who they will face again in round 24.
Predicted Finish: 8th
