Preview
These two met in the Challenge Cup just over a fortnight ago with Hull claiming an impressive win meaning Castleford will be out for revenge at the Jungle on Thursday night with the loser of this clash all but out of the top-four picture.
Daryl Powell is hoping to have Danny Richardson and Oliver Holmes available again after both players missed last week’s defeat to Huddersfield but could still be without the influential Jake Trueman and Peter Mata’utia.
Andy Last is still missing several members of his squad with Ratu Naulago, Albert Kelly and Josh Jones sidelined. Kieran Buchanan is fit again with Adam Swift, Gareth Ellis and Scott Taylor all in contention to make the Airlie Birds 21-man squad.
Prediction
This is a tricky one to predict with both sides lacking consistency since the restart with Castleford in particular looking out of form having won just one of their last seven matches. Hull have looked better in recent weeks, despite losing their last two fixtures, and should have enough to win on Thursday night if they manage to blunt the Tigers creativity.
