A sensational performance from Dylan Brown has led the Parramatta Eels to a 42-6 victory over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Brown scored a double and set up three others in one of his best career performances.

His two tries in five minutes were both set up by Mitch Moses inside the final twenty as the Bulldogs commitment waned.

The Eels put behind them the round 14 thrashing to the Bulldogs by scoring eight tries to one in front of an excellent Saturday afternoon crowd of 26,451 at CommBank Stadium.

Will Penisini scored the first after Brown’s cross-field kick was tapped back by Waqa Blake. Soon after, Penisini sent Blake over to give the Eels a 12-2 lead.

An error by Brown resulted in a try from the scrum win to Aaron Schoupp for the only Bulldogs try of the afternoon.

Six minutes later Josh Addo-Carr’s error was seized upon by the Eels with Brown’s superb pass to Sivo extending the lead to 16-6 at the break.

Tries to Matterson and Tom Opacic in a ten-minute period after half-time gave the home side a comfortable 26-6 lead before Brown struck twice off kicks from Moses in the 61st and 65th minutes.

Blake completed his seventh career double two minutes from time.

After an excellent mid-season following the departure of head coach Trent Barrett, the Bulldogs have returned to bad habits in conceding 80 points in their last two matches.

The Eels keep their slim top four chances alive, replacing the Rabbitohs in fifth spot. Their best hope may be an elimination home final at CommBank Stadium.
