Warrington Wolves have officially announced the signings of Anthony Gelling and Keanan Brand from Widnes.
Gelling, 28, has signed a two-year deal until November 2021, with Brand, 20, signing a three-year deal until November 2022.
Gelling has scored 11 tries in all competitions this year and will be linking back up with former Wigan teammate, Josh Charnley.
The pair enjoyed a great partnership, especially in the 2016 season, when they won the Grand Final with the Warriors.
Speaking via the Warrington website, the Cook Island international said: “It’s good that it can finally be released. I’ve always liked playing here. Even when I was at Wigan, this was one of my favourite stadiums to come to.
“To now call this my home ground and to play here every week will be awesome. To link up with some of my old Wigan buddies in Jack Hughes and (Josh) Charners too was one of the key factors in signing here.
“Hopefully the Warrington guys get behind me and we can have some fun. I’m hoping to come in as the big saviour; hopefully we will do it next year and break the curse.”
Whilst Brand is more of an unknown quantity coming through the ranks at Widnes, the young centre was recently named the Players Player of the Year for the club’s annual awards ceremony.
He has scored nine tries this season and wants to break into the first team at the Wolves.
He said: “Signing for Warrington means the world to me. I have had a taste of Super League opposition in the Challenge Cup and I think I am ready now.
“I don’t want to be that young player anymore, I want to be a full member of the first team, go in hard and see where that gets me.
“One of the main reasons I signed here at Warrington was for the opportunity to win trophies. That’s what every player wants to do in their career.”
The two centres are the Wolves fourth and fifth signing ahead of 2020, following St George-Illawara’s Gareth Widdop, Wigan’s Samy Kibula and Swinton’s Matty Ashton, who was just voted 2019 Championship Young Player of the Year.
