Last Five Results: Catalans 30-10 Warrington (03/08/19), Warrington 34-4 Catalans (08/06/19), Catalans 23-22 Warrington (02/03/19), Catalans 20-14 Warrington (25/08/18), Warrington 56-6 Catalans (10/08/18)

Preview

Back on home soil on Friday evening, Warrington are hoping to secure a ninth successive win in all competitions against a Catalans side who dropped from first to fifth in Super League after defeat to Wigan in their last league outing.

Gareth Widdop returns to the Warrington Wolves squad at the expense of Stefan Ratchford, in the only change from their Challenge Cup quarter-final win over St Helens last weekend.

Tom Davies returns from injury for Catalans Dragons, with Lewis Tierney dropping out of the squad that went down to Salford Red Devils in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals.

Prediction

Can anybody stop Warrington? Since being kept to nil by Leeds in February, no one has been able to match Steve Price’s side who will hope to move two points clear at the top of the table on Friday evening. The Dragons are still well in the hunt for a top-four finish, despite stuttering at home to Wigan, but might struggle in Cheshire against an in-form Wolves side.
