Match Preview

Wigan entertain Huddersfield at the DW Stadium on Sunday afternoon aiming to halt an alarming run of form that has seen the Warriors lose five games on the spin and plummet down the table. The Giants have lost their last four league matches and saw their clash with Castleford postponed due to Covid-19 last week.

The Cherry and Whites have named an 18-man squad for Sunday’s fixture with Tony Clubb returning to the side after serving his eight-game suspension. Willie Isa and Ethan Havard are both suspended after picking up charges in the defeat to St Helens in their last outing whilst Oliver Partington misses out with a head injury.

Ian Watson is only able to name a 16-man squad for Sunday’s trip to Lancashire as the club deal with last week’s Covid-19 outbreak and hope to add players to their squad subject to RFL clearance in the next few days. Will Pryce remains in the side after debuting against Catalans last time out.

Prediction

Wigan by two points.
