Match Preview

Wakefield host Wigan at the Mobile Rocket Stadium on Thursday night as both teams look to get back to winning ways after successive defeats in Super League. Trinity were edged out by Castleford in their last outing whilst the Warriors suffered a shock home defeat to Hull KR.

The Dreadnoughts have named a 20-man squad for the clash with the Warriors with Bill Tupou, Reece Lyne and Kelepi Tanginoa missing out, the latter pair are involved in England’s fixture against the Combined Nations All Stars. Innes Senior and Ryan Hampshire come back into the side.

The Cherry and Whites are only able to name an 18-man squad for Thursday’s match-up with Liam Farrell, John Bateman and Jackson Hastings all involved in the aforementioned international whilst Brad Singleton and Zak Hardaker miss out through suspension. Morgan Smithies returns from injury and youngsters Brad O’Neill and James McDonnell have been recalled from their respective loan spells to bolster Adrian Lam’s squad.

Wakefield by 12 points.
