Workington’s battle for their first victory of the season has been boosted as they have Jarrad Stack and Jarrod Sammut available for the first time in this season as they look to defeat London who just fell to a narrow defeat against Leigh despite having a commanding lead in the final minutes at the LSV.

The home side fell to a 20-0 defeat against Halifax last week in what was difficult conditions up at the Zebra Claims Stadium, Both sides struggled to make metres in the mudbath which only got worse and worse during the game. Town came close on several occasions but couldn’t break down the determined Fax defence. Town coach Phil Vievers spoke after the game saying his side lost their opportunity in the game when they went nine consecutive sets without completion in the second half. The weather has improved up in West Cumbria over the past week but the pitch will still be damaged after the battering it took during last sunday’s fixture.

London will ruing the fact they come into this game on the back of a defeat after letting a 14 point lead slip in a mad ten minutes where the home side scored three tries after being 20-6 up after an hour. Broncos have had a poor form on the road since dropping down to the championship losing all three games they played up in West Cumbria last season, but last week’s defeat was their first of the season and they won’t be wanting their second coming in quick succession.

Prediction – London by 14.
